Default Cosworth ABS

Hi all question for those techy type people, i have just renewed some brakes pipe in my engine bay, from the ABS pump to the distribution block, now my pedal is rock solid, i can pump the pedal if i release the brake nipples on the front brakes but not the rear. The pump runs continuously, the one thing im unsure about is the two wire plug that connects to the pump brown and red. my plug is broken so i have used spade connectors but unsure which one goes where. Red to the left or right terminal or brown to the left or right terminal, any help please

you need to bleed the brakes before you do anyting else

pump on for the rears
pump off for the front

there have been plenty of write ups on how to do this the correct way, just don't use one of those ezbleed setups as trying to get an airlock out of the abs block is nearly as easy as trying to figure out what a woman means when she says "go on, do what you want to this weekend"

you have to do the rears first

it's technically a 3 man job if you want to be extra careful

one person sits in the seat and presses the brake pedal softly

one person makes sure the fluid is topped up in the reservoir

one person is at the wheel opening the bleed nipple to check for air bubbles

all at the same time

but you need to leave it open for a few seconds at a time, but don't pump the pedal, any pressure on it opens the valve and starts the pump and it flows at one rate and is not variable

once both rears are done (they share one line so once one side is done the other side won't take much doing, then pop round to the fronts and pump the pedal to get the fluid around there

alternatively it could be a stuck relay on the pump power side of things

Thanks, just want to make sure the wires are the correct way round on the pump as the plug was broken a long time ago, anyone any ideas, two main wires brown and red. as you look at the pump from the front of the car which wire goes to the left connector and then the right connector, that would be awesome

Right had a full day at these pesky brakes, the front bled up straight away. the rear would not bleed up, the pump was on and running, the pedal was rock hard and no fluid came through. The pump runs continuously. i have even tried an easy bleed kit, no good. I disconnect the middle pipe on the pump and no brake fluid came out, is as if a valve is shut? The pump wont build any pressure to shut off? anyone help banging my head here now
