Default 2.0 zetec decompression plate

Hello guys well basically I'm running a 2.0 zvh with decompression plate however I want to up the boost and get more power , however I've heard keeping the keeping the plate wouldn't be a good idea at high boost , is there another way round it without doing the exspensive route ie boring it out and sticking c20let pistons?? in thank you Micky
