getting electrical faults with central locking indicators parking sensors and more -guess its water getting in somewhere.is this common and can it be cured-57 plate focus st

 

I've heard that a friend of a work colleague had problems with his central locking, only the drivers door would open after being dead locked, and the cause was water getting onto the fuse box in the passenger footwell. I think it was fixed for free as there was a factory recall for this problem but unsure
