Default Unmolested cossie - should i chip it?

I have a 88 cossie (only crystal blue in NZ), done 117,000miles with a major engine rebuild at 95k (after the mechanic didnt tighten the cam belt). It was owned by a elderly guy b4 me who pampered it. Should i put a chip in with this mileage? Don't want to blow my baby up. If so which chip do you recommend?

Typically, stage 1 = 280, stage 2 (rare) = 300ish, stage 3 = 330, but this varies between tuners.

Stage 3 involves quite a bit more boost, stage 1 is a nice improvement, with a good aftermarket exhaust. Not a huge amount of stress on the car, noticeable performance difference. Prob best bet if you are worries about breaking things...

Saying that, mine's stage 1 on 114,000 miles without an engine rebuild and still going very strong.

Personally if its mint, I would leave it as is, far to many cossies are being modded and not many being kept standard.

But depends on where you want to go.
