Focus bonnet catch nightmare

Anyone have a clue how to get bonnet open on '08 Focus TDi
have tried going through hole in grill ,pushing on collet of cable to no avail
getting desperate now any suggestion would be grateful

The white cross shaped clip that goes from the lock barrel to the catch always brakes.Try pushing the key tight in when turning it.

Thanks we tried that still didn't work
Unfortunately had to drill out lock

When it's sorted, always press down on the bonnet when turning lock, this reduces the strain on the fragile lock that's grabbing hold of the bonnet pin under tension if you get what I mean!

You could of took the radiator splash shield off, and get someone with very skinny arms to take off the 2x 10mm bolts holding the latch to the body.
Bit of a tight squeeze, but it works
