Default VW Touran brake options

Having just bought a Touran to cart the kids around in I'm not impressed with the brakes at all. Does anyone know if there's a bigger brake setup that would be a straight fit from another VAG car? I know mk5/6 Golf's are the same pcd and centre bore, and some high powered Audi's, but I just lack the knowledge and knowhow if there's a straight swap available with calipers and carriers.

On the Vectra derv, I had the setup from the V6 fitted and the difference was very noticeable.

Standard fronts are 288mm, sport version had 312mm. The Golf GTI and a few others have the 312mm discs.
All you need are the caliper carriers for the 312mm brakes and your calipers will fit with 312mm discs. Thats ther easy upgrade.

Just the sort of info I'm after, thanks. Would you know if there's a bigger caliper that would fit? And is it the same with the rears?

Yes all the same. You can fit R32 brakes if you want, not sure if the mk4 ones will fit.
