I have a friends 2001 diesel escort van for a charging fault. The battery light stays illuminated. I have disconnected the wire off the back of the alternator and earthed it out and checked for power from it and there is a relay inside that is making a racket from the drivers foot well. I am looking for a pin out diagram to test before pointing at the alternator.
