Can anyone help, i have fitted a set of twin weber carbs on my 1600e cortina, i bought them second hand and just fitted them on, the engine is a standard 1558 crossflow with no modifications, not surprisingly it runs like a dog. Just had a bit of a read up and i think the carbs need to be jetted for that engine, this is where i'm lost.
Does anyone know the correct jets that should be fitted or am i asking the wrong questions here and should be doing something else. Any other advice would be very helpfull in setting this up right.

 

Im unsure about jetting but would be interested to know.
That aside though, clean engine bay!

 

Hi there,

Basic settings for webber twin 40 dcoe

Main jets 130-140
Air correctors 190-200
F11 emulsion tubes
35 accelerator pump jets
34mm chokes
4.5 auxiliary venturis
40 f9 idel jets
Float level shut off 7.5mm
Full droop float setting 15mm

I would service these first, kits are cheap
If you don't know much about these carb's i would get someone that does
There hard to set up and get right

As said above good starting point for the crossflow engine but you really need to get it on a rolling road to get it set up right
