Hi there I have just bought another mk4 escort however it does not have the time adjustable wiper switch. Can I swap it from my first car or is there more to it than that eg relays and extra wiring

Also the fuel computer is the wiring plug there for it if I swapped that over too or is the loom different. I know I would also need to fit the speedo cable sender unit too but again is there somewhere on the loom ready for it

 

Find the wiper relay and run a wire from the centre pin location in the relay block to the spare pin hole in the wiper switch plug (top corner if I remember). Then fit the switch and intermitant relay and you should be away.

 

It depends what car you bought and what loom it has?

 

sorry folks they are both mk4 ghia models 1.6 i

ones a later g reg car and the other i want to fit parts too is a f reg ghia

was hoping it was just a case of simple swap of switch
