Hi guys,

Can any of you experts guide me in the right direction. Manual says in spare wheel well. I also found a few posts online also saying it should be in the spare wheel footwell but my switch definately isn't there as i've checked. Or does the mk 2 ghia models not have one or do some models have it palced elsewhere?

Having starting problems and have been advised this would be the place to start. Could be nackered fuel pump but i really want to find this switch first if it exists on my car.

It's a mk2 1989 model.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I have a 1990 mk2 Orion ghia efi and its in the boot underneath the spare wheel. Iirc the MRI variants the safety shut off module is under the facia panel on the drivers side (purple colour)

Hi, thanks mate. I think you are right about that.

so now i have her starting again with a shoogle of the purple fuel relay. Further inspection reveals it has melted a little at the bottom so i think this is definately the problem.

found this escort relay on ebay:

Looks the same, only my code is slightly different, mines is 8DC402, while that is 8FE402. Does anyone know if this would still work or not?
