Default would a flywheel skiming cause clutch slip?

Would a flywheel that has been skimd too much cause clutch sliping on stage 3 saff?? Its a brand new AP clutch plate with standard presure plate, been told that its possible fly wheel has been skimd too much, bud i canot think of any reason for this as the FULL flywheel face has been skimd whare BOTH presure plate and friction plate are seated so technacly there should be no lose of clamping presure ther! I would say the only reason this could be the case if it was just whare friction plate is seated that got skimd, and not FULL face. I may be wrong tho??? So i recon i need a stronger presure plate and at 200quid im abit scunnerd iv alredy forkd out about a grand on car since april, and i realy am not made of money, so if anyone had ANY other solution please let me know... Cheers

won't be flywheel, could be cover though.
if it's a used clutch then the friction plate may not sit square on a skimmed flywheel and you may just need to break it in gently for a while.

I would think it's a weak cover. Try an updated matched cover that works with you plate not a used weak one disigned for less torque in the first place.

So what thickness is a standard plate that is designed to work with a standard cover ?

And what thickness is the AP plate ?

AP used to do strange things years ago making their plates thinner.
