For correct and full functionality you need to:

  • Reverse the TPS wires
  • Swop TPS to PF09
  • Install and Wire up the knock sensor
  • Determine wether the software your going to run requires lambda and fit one if so.

Knock - yes if for some reason you dont want this safety feature.
Lambda - yes, if you fit software that doesnt require it to be present. Otherwise it will run, but with a permanent error logged.

my knock sensor screws into a threaded fitting in the block that doesnt go all the way through the block, it is more or less just below where the breather take off is on the turbo side

This is the trouble with buying second hand (The ECU isn't a problem) but you are reliant upon the person's information about the calibration being correct.

If it were me I would get the map examined etc if you plan to use this on with your engine.

TPS not set correctly and or base idle not correct once hot remove iscv plug and check u have got 850/900 rpm if for some reason you cannnot adjust any lower on idle screw you have a air leak in the intake manifold.

PLEASE make sure your chip is correct for the engine for example a T34/63 will flow a greater volume of air than a T34/48 best to get it checked by rolling road or have a chip written to your spec
