Hi! I'm new to the forum and hoping that somebody might be able to offer some advice on how much torque to apply to the rear hub nut.
I've searched quite a bit but most of the existing advice and the Haynes manual seem to only talk about the type of nut which is secured by a split pin. However my Escort just has a large nut with attached washer and the bearing is the tapered type.
The torque setting is obviously important as I don't want to put too mush stress on the bearings but also don't want it coming loos so the wheel could fall off.
Thanks for reading : )
