Unhappy electrical problem

hi i have a 1600i cvh ford engine in a ginetta kit car 1990 car runs fine but when warm will not restart dash lights dim starter clicks sometimes dos the same when starting from cold car can run ok 4 week then problem comes back

are you using the fuse box from the cvh they can break up inside and they are some of the symtoms
starters can sometime overheat on the cvh and the earth wires corode

I had a similar problem a couple of months ago on my xr.Car wouldn't turn over intermittently but would go fine for a week or so. It was a worn ignition switch in my case. Had another problem few years back with the same car where it wouldnt start when hot. That turned out to be a knackered starter. Hopefully you'll get it sorted!

yes useing cvh fuse box ill examine it and give it a clean up cheer 4 that

CVH's are a fucker for cooking there starter motor's as there so close to the exhaust . ive had a few that did this,I assume u havn't got a heat sheild between the two ? .
