Default Rear prop sits different with new 4x4 box?

Ok first up I haven't seen the car yet but I got a call from my mate who swapped the boxes over today and he said the front part seems to sit about 1.5 inches further out from coupling where it joins the rear part?
Now, I'm due to have a look at it tomorrow morning to see if it's anything obvious or simply itbwas like that before but never noticed, but can there be any reason for this????

Not sure, I seem to recall it's not but not 100% sure. I thought the escos prop was shorter at the rear section and if anything mine would be too long?

the esc cossie prop is shorter but so is the out put drive flange on the gear box
you only have to compare the out put flange on your old box with the new one
the difference is obvious

Ok I'll have a look at it tomorrow, so next question, can I just swap the flanges over?

Ok will have a gander tomorrow, old gearbox casing is ok but the gearbox is trashed, will try swapping the coupling over as it looks the easiest if that is even possible. Will let you know how I get on.
