Default Cossie crank

Anyone know the big end and main journal sizes for a cossie crank?! Gotta order some shells for mine and just measured em with a digi caliper and the mains are 57mm bar the odd .something variance, and the big ends are 52mm .something variance lol.

Cheers

Tony

odd thou, the main in the manual says 56.989 and the 1 i measured came out at 57.05 and the big end 51.977 and mine was 52.17

Guess there will be a slight variance with all of em, but from that guess it'll be standard size shells for me!!

Cheers

Your vernier caliper is probaly slightly out. Use a mike instead

Don't forget to check the bearing clearances with plastigauge and check the bearing 'crush' too (don't want any spun shells)

It's calibrated wire filaments that when sandwiched between the bearing shell become squashed. You then measure the width of the squashed wire and it gives the clearance.

It's a lot easier to use than to explain
