hows it going new to dis site im in da middle of doing a cosworth coversion into a capri and was wondering if any body could help me out cause im stuck on trying to get da car to spark if anybody has and info or has done 1 of dem any help welcome cheers

 

Converted mine to yb turbo. Do u mean yb turbo Cossie or 24v Cossie? It could be loads of different things causing it not to spark, first off I'd make sure it's wired tidy and getting 12v to the coil, then fuel injector and pump relays have fuses that kill the spark also.

 

yeah its a yb turbo dont no much bout dem meself and it is getting da 12v to da coil i didnt take much of da loom out of da sierra ownly da bit from da engine to da ecu with da few relays and fuses on it petrol pump is workin aswell der was 5 spare wires free on da loom that i had to hard wire in

 

Sounds like you've wired it up right then it's only them 5 wires u need. Check that the Amal valve boost control solenoid is clicking on second turn of key, if so then u have power to pump and ignition so points to crank sensor, phase sensor or ecu,or possibly distributor timed up wrong. If the Amal valve doesn't click then it's either the 2 relays or 2 fuses normally at fault.

 

is that boost control solenoid that sits on top of da front mount how do i go about phaseing da crank sensor or da ecu or to check if da distributor is timed up wrong cheers and befor i took da engine out of da sierra it was running mint

 

i checkd da boost solenoid and it is clickin on da second turn of da key and i took da ecu of da loom den phased all da pins in da connection and got power in two of dem da rest i havnt a clue how to do dem can any 1 help me please and thank you
