If you mean better than standard set up with coil and distributor then yes, I have fitted wasted spark kit to mine and it runs smoother. Although not sure everything on old system was 100% perfect before I swapped, but so far am impressed with it

I already have wasited spark but my mate is selling a msd coil pack I only have standard ford just wanted to no is the standard one up to the job or msd? Or is msd just a extra what costs but does no diffrance to standard

Ours is a standard Ford coil mate, so no point at all in buying the exact same one from your pal.

It's not your msd it's the one in USA higher voltage coil pack to run bigger plug gap etc

Ah, sorry.
Well, depends which one it is, some of theirs really are excellent, but some of them seem to be repainted standard Ford ones as far as I can see.

Perhaps your pal will loan it to you for a night and see if you can run a bigger spark gap with it? Thats all that counts really.
