cam belt just snaped in my escort van, was thinking about putting a 1.6 or 1.8 petrol engine from a escort car, was just wondering what will be involved in this swap? eg wiring the loom, fuel tank...
i have already removed the 1.8d engine from my van and i am going to be getting a a doner car whith a petrol engine.

hi, i dont think the van has a ecu, so will this make it easyer to wire in a ecu and engine wiring loom from a petrol escort?

 

imo dash will need removing from van and the harness from the donor car engine exhaust ect fitting to van as the donor will have more ellectric and ecu poss rev counter ect ect ect

get a donor car, and swap from car to van. exhaust and tank will be the biggest hurdle!
