hello,my brother has a 01 ford focus.about 350000 miles.i replaced motor at 250000.i did trans filter at that time.

my brother was going downthe road and it sounded like it went into neutral but didnt.

if i go thru all the gears it wont move but i do here a change in motor sound when i switch thru the gears.

the fluid and filter are pretty dark and theres a fair amount of metal fiber on the magnet in the pan.anyway i can test the solenoids?


any advice?
