I've been looking at making my own, the idea is simple enough, but I'm curious as to what to do about the cap and the thread it goes on to.
Anyone have any bright ideas about it? And anything else I should bare in mine?

There are loads of things you could use for the cap and thread, get your self down the diy or camping store and buy a metal jerry can? However I must ask why? Is it for a custom build? do you want it too look nice? Or is it a function over form thing?
