Default Saying hello, and need help :-)

Hey Guys

Just thought would introduce myself, new member to this site. Have a mk3 mondeo 1.8, 2000 plate. Just have as a run about.

Bought fairy cheap and changed the clutch, what a nightmare that was. Anyway when i put everything back together, there seems to be a connector spare ? .

If someone could possible point out where this goes i would be forever grateful, the engine management light is on and i suspect this is why.

Please see http://s1124.photobucket.com/albums/l580/bubba_1986/

Cheers

Bubba

Does the car run okay? Do all other guages work on the dashboard?

Have you looked and or felt around the gearbox, looks like its off the engine, either inlet or thermostat housing area to me.

Hey, yeah the car runs fine, though is bit worse in fuel, my mate seem to think that is connects to something underneath as it is a very short connector. First thought the lambda, but that's connected. I mean that the other end of it is long and stretches up ???, confused.com

I intend to get underneath the car asap, to see, though weather ain't been to good. Was hoping someone might recognize it.

Thanks for the reply

Its definately not off the black thermostat housing on the right hand side of the engine above the gearbox is it? could be water temp sensor hence the car is stuck in cold mode and using more fuel?

Its not off the reverse light switch or something daft like that? Have you checked the reverse lights work?

Thanks for all the replys guys. Turned out i had connected the blue plug for the second lamda sensor onto the first one at the manifold. The blue connector for one at cat was tiewrapped onto subframe and couldn't been seen from above. Right tit so i am.

On another note, bad knocking when braking and accelerating, thinking may be anti roll bushes.

any good ways to test?, subframe def tight, def not snapped spring(i replaced one )
droplinks tight, (new). calipers tight. anything else i am missing ??

If it didnt knock before the replacement clutch then obviously its something not done up correctly. go through everything as if you were to change the clutch again and check.

Hey, yeah the lower gearbox mount was first thing i checked. It did knock when i bought it as spring was snapped, so hence bit confused. when u move the antiroll bar it is solid, though obviously i can't apply the same force as applied when braking.

Hopefully something simple, will let u all know if find out.

Thanks again
