you would need to bush the small ends down from 20.6 to 19 mm and IIRC the piston will sit down the bore 3mm...i see what your thinking.

I read on another forum that this was covered in a mag probably back in 2010. Fast or Performance Ford possibly.
Any readers got a copy to clarify which mag and month so I can get a copy?

I have a set of silvertop rods, and I'm looking for a blacktop rod and piston cheap to compare to see what I need to machine etc, before considering doing it with my low mileage blacktop engine.
Just can't find the info I want on google other than someone stating it's been featured in 2008/9 somewhere.
Silvertop rods aren't bushed (interference fit), but what about blacktops?

Someone must have done this or read about it, or I'll have to start something up myself!
