Planned on fitting my box this evening but couldn't get the spigot bearing in. It looks like the outer part of the old bearing is still inside the crank end.

What do you guys think?




If it is part of the old spiget, has anyone got an ideas on how to get it out!!?

 

slide hammer with appropriate tool on the end is the right way, i have sharpened a pin punch to a chisel then driven it down behind the shell that is stuck in there and broken it out before
