Hi all.

Trying to help my pal sort his car out.

Mk3.5 fiesta.
1.8 zetec silvertop.
Decomp plate.
Stage 1 turbo (fresh rebuild)
Megasquirt v2.2
Etc etc

Problem he has, when it's warm it's v.smokey. Blue smoke so oil burning.

At 1st was believed to be the turbo, which had some play etc. So was sent away for refurb. Was uprated at same time. So with that in mind. Done about 150 hot miles on the new turbo, and still some smoke when warm.

Compression tests are showing ok, so don't think the decomp plate / head gasket has gone...

Any ideas?

Matt

Forgot to add, it's worst at idle or low RPM's.

Hi there, could be excess oil in the exhaust system trying to burn away, as I had the same thing happen to me, car started to smoke, when I took the exhaust side of the turbo I found a big puddle of oil, so sent the turbo away to be rebuilt, when it come back got it fitted and the car still smoked so cleaned the oil seporater and put a prefilter on the turbo and still smoked but after a few days of driving it soon disapeared.
