Also yours is 1.8, SI may be 1.6?

Also as said the immobiliser won't disarm, unless you have external PATS.

iv got the key barrel n the bit that goes round the barrel also its off si 1.8 the ecu is a jest like my gti ecu.. im hopeing that this will sort out my problems whitch iv had since i took the car to a garrage 2 yrs ago to have the revs lowerd from 1500rpm at iddle even tho the car ran sweet.. but since i picked it up its had loadsa proibs n the garage wudnt sort it out n said there not goin g to do anything else to it n to take it else where lol.. he said he had repaired the wire to iddle valve plus i kno he had done somit to ecu but dnt kno wat and he said he replaced the breather valve near the coilpack? but since this iv had a hunting and misfire prob with major misfire underload stalling thn not being abble to restart plus the tps is reading as to high voltage at4.5 volts constant.... iv replaced lambda sensor/maf/iddle valve/crank sensor plugs/leads/coilpack etc with no hint of the prob being sorted 1 bloke said its the rings but my car hasnt eaten any oil? but iv been told it cud b the ecu where its been mucked about with? so hopfuly this will sort it out but if not im changing the loom?
