Hello
My 2wd cosworth has started to have intermitant boosting problems. One minute full boost one minute no boost and alot of sucking sometimes lower boost. Normally ok from cold fine then goes off and dont normally come back on till re started after cooled.

What to try to eliminate

Boost leak perhaps? Although if this is the case it makes the turbo work harder to achieve the same target boost pressure! No unplugging the Amal will LOWER the boost pressure!

Is the actuator good?

Lol thats normal for the air filter, it's kind of hard unless you have a pump etc to test, they do loose there strength after a while.

never overlook a dump valve as they still can leak, blank it it off and try it
