Default sierra shocks

Hello!
I'm new here, this is my first thread so please be gentle!
I own 1989 2.0 DOHC (swaped engine) 2wd sierra hatch. Use it 2 years for daily drive, and today I understand that it's too much comfy. it's to high for me. want to lower it down.
I want to change my suspension for a bit lower. First of all I want to change shocks, but here in Latvia I can't find anything for my sierra. Is there any other ford model that have a similar suspension that will fit sierra?
If you can offer me some not sooooooo expensive coilovers, springs whit shocks or only shocks please PM me.
Thanks
Artis

Shocks don't determine ride height, springs do, being in the process of doing these myself at the moment I would strongly advise against it unless it's essential, it's not the easiest of jobs to do, especially the rears!

You could always look for some lowering springs and see if they will ship to where you are?

Rear shocks have 2 bolts. why it's not so easy?
Front shocks, mayby it's a bit harder to change, but it's 2 hour work for all four. Done this for one stock sierra, it was easy.
Search on ebay for any options - nothing. Only coilovers, but they are too expensive for me.
Any options for similar shocks/springs?

sorry mate, but if i can change rear shocks on a sierra with no issues a fookin blind can do it with one hand tied behind his back

have a look on ebay for shocks and springs - probably around 150 for front and rear

also, you wont be able to use Cosworth front shocks as they will be different to the DOHC models - i know as have a DOHC.

why not just cut a coil off the spring or get new lower springs and keep the existing shock

Sorry I kind of miss explained myself, what I said was shocks do not determine ride height, springs do and I am in the process of changing my SPRINGS at the moment, which isn't no easy task!

Re the shock absorbers, yes, if you can't change these something is wrong!

All 2WD shocks are the same, although Cosworth front shocks have a lower spring pan, so watch overall tyre size! 4x4's are different.

if you want lower car more than 40mm with stock shock, you will need to cut off piston rod. some of shocks you can do it [plaza and Bilstein monotube series]. but others - not.
if you have some ebay link with shock or springs, please post it.
thanks.
