Default Higher amp battery ok?

Just wondering guys as I have a 680amp battery that I bought for my diesel Pug 406, only to sell the car a week later due to the engine going bang!

Anyway!! I now have a Golf VR6 with a 480amp battery......Would a 680amp battery help with anything? My VR6 has all the electrics and air-con.

Thanks in advance

The figure you are referring to is the CCA or "Cold Cranking Amps", this as the name suggests is the amount of power available for starting. The AH figure is the true capacity really, so no it won't help you, other than it's got more in reverse for starting.
