Default Cossie heater

The heater is fine running around town but on motorways the heater is useless
Recently fitted a brand new, genuine Ford thermostat.
Has anybody else had this problem? How was it rectified?

maybe the heater matrix is blocked also try taking the 2 pipes of the heater and put a hose pipe through it failing that maybe a new one BUT dash has to be removed well most of it to do it
