I gotta series 2 rst and yesterday got underneath it to change a wheel bearing that started making a noise 2 days ago.When I took the wheel off I noticed the tyre has worn big time on the outside,almost bald.The tyres were all replaced only 6 months ago.This is the off side one.The other side has started to go the same way but not as bad.How the hell has this happened?I am told that the rear tracking isnt adjustable.They were bloody expensive tyres as well.Anyone any ideas?thanks for reading this.

 

what size tyres do u have?is the car lowered? and are the wheels the correct offset for the car? there could b a number of reasons for this wear

rear track can be altered by adding washers between tie bar and rear hub,thus pushing the hub backwards.used to do this at fords all the time
