Default solid mounting engine

Hi got mk2 fiesta with a race built 1.3 cvh in it and all it keeps doing is ripping apart the gear box mounts have tried uprated polybush mounts but they end up the same so as a last resort i am thinking of welding bits of box between the gearbox mounts and the crossmember totally removing the rubber mounts have done similar on bangers and they r harsh ie, rattle ya fillings out but cant think of any other way to stop the engine ripping mounts

try some vibratechnics comp mounts, less harsh than solid, there about Ł90 i think, or try solids with a thin strip of rubber between each mounting face.

simple solution, you can get a poly mount for penuts, when bolting it on put the bolt straight through the middle of it so it cant come appart, bit of a compromise but then thats what you get for buying a ford
