ST170 Front Suspension issues...
Hi All,
I've got a problem with the near-side front suspension on my 03 plate, and I'm hoping someone can help me diagnose what it is before I go needlessly spending money!
I have recently noticed that the front suspension has dropped by around 10mm or so, and particularly on the near-side the tyre now rubs on the bottom side of the spring mount(?) on anything but the lightest right-hand corner, as it is only sitting about two inches above the tyre.
I've had the car in the garage and all they said was that the springs are getting rusty, but that the offending near-side corner spring hadn't snapped or anything, and they couldn't see any reason why the car seems to have dropped at the front??
I'm not the most mechanically minded soul, but I'm now starting to wonder if the shock absorbers might be shot, or it may be something else entirely?
Should I just replace the springs, or is it something else?
Any help would be much appreciated!
Cheers,
N.
