hi, I have had a kent cvh35 cam fitted to my rs, and basically wandering what oil would be best to run the cam in? any help would be great cheers

Any decent quality 5W40 or similar is ok for running cam in, but do make sure you do it properly, CVH actually stands for Cam Very Hungry, as they eat them a lot, lube system isn't all that, not helped by the almost complete elimination of ZDDP in the oil either.

Is it worth adding ZDDPlus?

My engine's needing a rebuild after Ford Fair, or more precisely the journey home when it simply cut out.

(I suspect due to it being setup with a faulty VSS and i replaced it before ford fair. Learning afterwards that it leans off slightly on cruise, so it must have leaned off a little too much when it was seeing the correct speed)

I believe it already had a slightly worn cam lobe, as it was tappy on one lifter, and having rebuilt the head with all but a new cam it returned a couple months later. Dont want that to happen to new build so considering a decent 5w30 synthetic with ZDDP additive.

I've been doing oil and filter change approx 5k mile intervals too :/
