Aftermarket ECUs for Cossie
Has anyone any knowledge about aftermarket ECUs for the Cossie? I have shortlisted the Autronic SM2, Microtech LT8S or the Haltech E6X. Does anyone know who has used the above with good effect?
Talk to Mark Shead of M.A.Developments as he is an authorised dealer of Auttronic Management or look on the website: http://www.madevelopments.com.
The other two i can't help you with.
Hope this helps.

Singcos,
An aftermarket ECU is only as good as the installer and tuner.
I wouldn't use a Mircotech unless its a very basic all-out drag car. Then again, go for whatever your tuner has succesfully used before.

Mircotech isn't well known for its driveability on the road and you only get a limited number of load/tuning points. There is a reason why its cheap...
Haltech is better, but like I said make sure the tuner is comfortable with it.
Personally I would choose Autronic or Motec, but like anything, you get what you pay for.
Seeming that you're from Singapore I'm sure there would be some tuners there familar with these ECUs.

Thanks dude!
Singcos,
Email sent.
I would recommend you speak to the tuner/installer to gain confidence in them. There's no use in having one of the best ECU's when you're tuner has no idea... I would suggest you speak to a tuner first even before you choose an ECU.
You have been warned...
And no.. you don't HAVE to have CDI for Autronic

Definitly finding a tuner familiar with the ECU will help a lot. Mark Shead helped me out a lot and I found a Autronic Dealer/Tuner (Davesport) close to me that helped with install and tuning. We used a MSD 6 for ignition control.
Fastmaul - good to hear from another Cossie owner on this side of the pond!
