I read somewhere (can't remember where though), that some strut braces were purely cosmetic and didn't help with the car's handling, etc...

If not cosmetic, are some more or less efficient. A few self tappers to fix them seems a little flimsy to me.

Is that true ? Which ones are "proper" ?

yeah i believe its the connection to the strut, and also you see on that piccy above where the bar joins the mounts, on some there is only one bolt, so it in fact flexes with the chassis totally voiding the point of a strut brace!

Thanks guys, so rich, the whole point is that the strut brace should be bolted to the wing brackets with a minimum of two bolts ?
