Hi tapping from top end put new lifters in but still same taps more when driving than ticking over oil light cums on Naw and again on tick over but goes out when reved up.could it be oil pump or warn cam it's a fiesta Rst engine

 

Assuming the light is accurate then your problem is down to low oil pressure, VERY low at that as the light only activates at low pressure. Either a pump issue or more likely engine wear, whats the millage etc?

Hi mileage unnow bought engine couple of weeks ago oil light was not when fitted but add the taping engine been in about 4 weeks

 

typical cvh, engine is fucked mate. Time for a zvh

 

oil pickup block easily on CVHs, could be this. Drop the sump and give it a clean

 

One things for sure, don't carry on using the car until it's sorted as your going to do some damage!

sounds like bottom ends gone to me as thats what creates the oil pressure. Does it rattle loudest at around 3-3.5k?

 

Silly question but you do have the correct amount of oil?
