People say you should use a freesh, low mile engine...and ideally, yeah to a point that is true. But my Zetec has done similar miles and if it explodes, they are only £150-£200 from ebay and scrapyards anyway....the engines themselves are disposable. IMO


I have to echo Chaffe....why not??

I considered running a decomp plated engine in my track car...why? Because it made it cheap and the engine disposable, even if you got much less miles out of an engine, if they only owe you around £200-300 a time. You can afford to blow up several before they start to cost you what a fancy lightened and balanced engine costs.

 

ive used a decomp plate on four seperate engine, no probs at all in my experience
