Hey guys,

needing some help/info on taking the central locking out of my Orion Ghia, and fitting it to my new Orion, which is just an L (would imagine this is the same as taking from a Mk4 Escort?). The Ghia is a G reg, the L is a D reg, so I'm not sure if there would have been any modifications to the looms etc between the years of when the cars were built.

I understand that the loom/connection for the central locking is behind the driver's side speaker in the foot well?

What is all involved in disconnecting this, and fitting it to the other car? Will the loom in the basic Orion have the connections to fit the central locking?

And what about the electric windows?

I'm really hoping that the loom from the basic car is all ready to have the extra's connected, but sods law, I'm guessing it's gonna be far more complicated.

Also, how do the back doors, and passenger side doors get connected up for the locking? is it possible to just connect the two front doors initially?

I need to fit a new door to my Orion, so would be as well trying to get the central locking, electric windows and mirros done at the same time if I can.

Any info/help would be greatly appreciated!
