endura tddi finding tdc
I have just had to drop another endura tddi block in my focus due to a small end failure/ When timing from the crank up, i take it i will insert the crank tdc pin, turn the crank forward till it hits the pin (true TDC point), then lock in position with the flywheel clamp.
Fit pump with its timing hole at 12 o clock, inset the pump pin (6mm drill bit), fit pulley etc.
Set camshaft with plate in end slot, fit belt then tension, set pulley. job done ?
I have noticed if you turn the crank forward slightly, there is a point on the crank where the timing pin locates into a hole/slot in the crank an locks it, so as you are unable to rotate the crank either way. (this is not tdc, as i have cheked with the head off)
I just wanted to check that my first method is correct and the pump etc are timed at true TDC.
Thanks for any reassurance.
