99.9% sure the PINK fuel pump relay is located in the drivers side kick panel, this will likely have been got rid of if converted to efi.
The fuel cut off switch, or impact switch can be bypassed, simply by joining the two wires to it together, but it's there for a reason, your safety, last thing in the world I would do is deleting it, unless using another one some where else ?

You can bypass them very easily, but in the event of an accident if say the return hose was ruptured but the engine was still running it would be pumping fuel all over the hot engine, and could result in a very nasty fire, with the occupants possibly burning alive in the car unconscious, is the main reason, the way I see it personally is it costs little to have it there, but it could save your life, it's disgraceful it was never fitted on some and ford should be ashamed of themselves imo.

im pretty sure the fuel pump relay on a 3i is yellow and the the pink one belongs to the s2 though dont hold me to that, id check the relay before bypassing the inertia switch as these switches seldom fail and as tabetha said well worth having, i take it your fuel pump is not priming at the turn of the key?

It most likely never has been converted as later XR3's were EFI, easiest way is to just get another switch from another model, dosen't neccessarily have to be yours!

Plenty of cars don't have cut outs not just non fords, for example classics but for safety it's best there is one, hence why it's there in the first place.

I think the relay is yellow, pink one is a relay with a timer and was fitted to the MFI cars and is expensive!
