No backfiring just like a light popping when it's being turned over every now and then.

Where is the fuel getting through to? Do you mean the injectors are spraying or there is fuel at the end of the pipe?

No the fuel is getting through ok as i've taken the plugs out and the fuel is laying on top of the pistons.

you sure you've got the dizzy timed correctly? using the lug on the pulley not the groove? and the centre of the rotor arm lined up the mark on the housing?

Yup all the injector plugs are on the right way round, and the rotor arm is center to the mark and the pointer on the distributor pulley is pointing at the distributor. But still no joy.

There was a lug missing from the crank pulley and also an after market chip that no one new about behind the glove box was playing up. so all sorted now and picking it up tomorrow.
