Wondering what 'octane' (Pins 13 & 14) is/does?

Does:
Grounding either / both the octane inputs on pins 13 & 14 will result in the ignition being retarded by 2,4 or 8 degrees.

So let me get this straight, ground pin 13=2deg, ground pin 14=4deg and ground both you get 8deg?


Guess I could hook up a 3way toggle switch for that.
