Default 00 focus indicator problems

hi hows it, i just bough a 2000 1.8 tdi focus hatch. the turn signal indicator stopped working, first the left one went and about ten mins later so did the right one. i got the car to my workshop and i hit the hazards and everything is working fine, (the bulbs are working and flashing the 2 arrows in the cluster also work), so then i try the fuses all the fuses are ok. so i replace the stalk and still no joy so i try that stalk in a different focus and it works so its not the stalk. is there a flasher unit in these cars or are they controlled through the bcm module
there is no manual with the car so im not sure which fuses are which and the same goes for the relays i just pulled them all replaced all the 7.5 amps even if they were ok. any help would be sound cause me head is melted

thanks bar

Sounds like a supply problem to the left stalk that controls indicators and dip/main.
See if you get a switched live wire when the ignition is turned from off to position 2(run), this may also be the same feed for the headlight flasher, so try that, does that work when pulling it back ?

Pretty sure on that year the flasher unit is built in to the hazard switch, so you could try changing that.
