I have an Escort mk3 xr3i 83, but need to change all the suspension. At the moment i have the early twin bolt system. I have been looking at fitting konis all round, but im getting different answers as to wether mk4/rs turbo konis actually fit my car. Some people say that mk3's and mk4's are all the same and all i have to do is retain the strut top assembly from my mk3 and fit to the new shocks.
Before i got the car, it was built for track use only, but i have converted it back to road. Except the springs are rock hard and its not very nice on todays roads, hence the need of change.
Also the engine is stage 2 spec, so im assuming mk4 rs turbo Ford motorcraft shocks wont be up to the job ? Its just a friend has brand new set of shocks and springs he said will fit with a -35 ride height and be very good on the road ?? think hes just after my money tbh![Grin](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
any advice please. Thx guys
