Default Crank angle sensor

Hi all,

can someone with a haynes manual (or a big brain) tell me which wire on a zetec 2.0 silvertop crank angle sensor plug is + and by deduction, which one is -

Pretty please.....

I need to wire it up to my emerald, and i can't get any clues from my existing reference materials and it seems a bit silly to buy a haynes manual just for that

TIA

Greg

When attached to the motor, the higher pin is + and the lower -.
If in doubt, measure with a multimeter. Select reading as voltage DC. Put any iron object to the tip of the sensor (should snap because of the magnet). It will read 0.0V, but watch the reading as you rapidly pull the iron bit apart from the sensor. Should read negative for a split second when the multimeter is plugged the right way around.
