Default YB cam cap studs

whats the best way to repair these... 3 of mine had pulled from the head so I helicoiled them, they are no where near torqued up proper and they feel like they are gonna give again. who ever owned it before me must have went to town on them.
What has anyone else done to fix this???
I was gonna do all to an m10 on a pillar drill and bore the caps too match or has anyone an idea of another stud that has and m10 bottom with an m8 top???
Many thanks in advance for your help.

We use time serts, a better solution when heli coils pull out...the kits are very expensive but you might be able to find someone (local eng shop etc) with a kit who'll sell you the individuals or do it for you...

Near 100 quid for a repair kit.
Hmmm I might go with the M10 stud as I have everything I need to go that route.. Should do the job well, as long as they are done straight..

As said time serts are way better than helicoils, Ł100 is nothing compared with what a engine could cost if they pull out and the worst happens.

I was going to say that happened to a mate of mine, was put down to the fact they had been overtightened on the last rebuild.

Snapped the cam when it let go and made a mess of the head but that was it luckily !

Luckily!! Surely It dont get any worse?!?
I was concerned the hole for an m10 might be getting close to the cam bear surface but its much the same as the hole for the timesert.

All of them! Only 3 or 4 actually made the torque wrench click. Others felt well dodgy. Got some m10 studs the right length, gonna try one with that and see how it goes. Thanks
