Default glow plug warning light mondeo

driving the mondeo today and the glow plug light started flashing and the car lost power,there is 167000 mls and its a 02 tdci 130 brake it just about limped home for me.
any ideas as to what might be the most likely culprit?
Im assuming its not goin to be good news!!
garage cant see it for at least a week to plug it in and i need it for work monday morning

First step is to get the fault codes read.
There are so many possibilities, you need a pointer in which direction you have to search.

yeah agree,cam sensor,fuel pump,simply blocked fuel filter,injector,egr,loads of posibilites

suppose your right no point guessing it could be anything,i do like the sound of a blocked filter though!,i really hope its not pricey injectors

first thing i would do is recode the injectors as its a common fault
