no sorry mate not tried that as i was reading this late last night was tired do you think this may be the issue? as there was nothing connected on there before i remember that

 

I don't know either way, it's worth a try though.

 

Rich I think the terminal you have labelled is where a supressor connects to. The wiring does look ok, and must be connected ok as you say it charges when revved, however without that WL working this will be why it won't be charging, you need to see if it works first by earthing it with ignition on and go from there.
