hi i recently purchased a non running rst s2 90 spec its the first time ive owned one of these and got it for dirt cheap as need good few things done but i dont mind doing them as its just little bits here and there but at the moment i have hit a snag!

i was having fuelling issues which were shortly rectified via afuel pump terminal clean up and relay replacement i have few metering units laying about off a mate to help try solve my current problem which is mega over fueling /flooding

with one metering unit on its got way too much fuel more than the adjuster is capable doin in my opinion. as without the plugs in it turns over but does as my mate called it a fountain show with fuel from plug hole firing about 4-5 foot!!!!

im obviously aware that this will cause bore wash and am changing the new oil argh!!! but before finding this we did rectifie a few bad earths and a badly half fitted alarm plummed into relay wiring which has now been removed and also blew fuel pipes through with air line which seemed to help get fuel from metering unit to injectors which has now left me with this fault

i did try the other metering unit as it was the only other 1 that was complete and hay presto it fired then we realised after 20 odd seconds and it cutting out the metering unit was full of fuel and pi**ing out just below the pipe divider on top of the actual metering unit so moved back to non leacking one as other is mising divider altogether.

i obviously have 1 dud metering unit as its letting fuel everywhere but the other seems too put the pressure through the roof???

is there anything else i can do to stop this mega over fueling / flooding

i do have few reciepts 1 stating the engine was replaced by ford in 2002 and was issued a new service manual with clocks re-zeroed which has been maintained regular to the millage its at now 14,534 in total since then i know its got aftermarket dump valve which dont fit well which im gonna plug pipe hole instead and have also rectified a badly fit boost hose which now reads on gauge and is secure in ecu and fuel regand inlet also the other side inlet hose/breather pipe has been glued where the 1 way valve has snapped previously and also checked all pipe for leaks and tightened acordingly

just trying to get as much info across to help rectifie this fault

9 times out of ten fuel regulaters had it. take the return to tank of after the reg should flow fuel if its not or a tiny trickle that prob whats up.

i have tried 3 diffrent regs and another accumlator also another pump 3 relays and another set injectors my only option i got after trying this fully stripped and rebuilt metering unit it is look to be another fuel ecu if that dont work? as nothings working tryed everytning i can think of

any help much appretiated
